Why your happiness is your responsibility.
Why your happiness is your responsibility.
I know it’s hard not to feel down and out, but when you do something, you do not feel so depressed.
It was a Monday, just like any other Monday. The day began, went on, and then ended. However, what made this Monday worth talking about, is the way the day started, and that was the day or the weather, which compels you to want to get outside and get amongst it.
It was meant to be teeming with rain all day, that did not happen. Instead, the day, because it was summer, was nice, fine, and hot. This was the starting point in which I knew I was able to hopefully make all of the good stuff happen. But I had to move fast.
I had to juggle finishing the two things that I was doing before I could make the most of this wonderful day. And then, making the most of the fine weather. Doing this made me happy.
Heading out.
Now, I have to mention here that everything that I do is based upon me, managing my matters, by first jotting it down, in pieces, what have to do. This is so, at the end of the day, I will feel a sense of happiness. Because of what I have achieved.
So next, was the walk and then some self-care. When I walk, it is not rushed, it is just a walk. And because I do not walk fast, it takes time. This, however, does not bother me. And the best part is when someone says hi. We are all worthy of someone acknowledging our presence in this world. Sometimes this makes the walks easier to do.
Self-care for me comes in the form of continuously taking care of my mental, physical and emotional health. As I continued on with my doing, on this day, the time had ticked on and I noticed outside, that it was raining. As I reflected on my day and thought of all of the things that I had managed to do that were not planned, I was pleased with myself, with what I had achieved. It was here at this point that I had realized the statement “Your happiness is your responsibility”, is true. It is your individual actions (that are positive) that result in your life accelerating forward – and you being happy at the end of each day. Like I was, with myself.
